7 days
Highlands to shore
Ancient rock, the hill-country train, then the southern coast.
A starting journey
Seven days is enough to feel the island change under you — stone to mist to salt. This is a starting spine, not a cage: we keep the famous train, a night in tea country, and a finish by the sea.
Swap a heritage morning for more beach, linger in Ella, or begin from the coast. Tell us who you are travelling with, and we shape the rest.

Day by day
How the days might unfold.
01
Arrive, and the rock appears
Cultural TriangleLand in Colombo and travel inland to the ancient cities. Evening at a jungle lodge, with Sigiriya already on the skyline.
02
Lion Rock, at the right hour
SigiriyaClimb at first light or late afternoon — then the ruins, a village lunch, Pidurangala if you want the quieter view.
03
The sacred city
KandyA threshold day: Temple of the Tooth, the lake, and the first cool of the hills. Tomorrow the island tilts upward.
04
The train through tea
Kandy to EllaReserved seats on the hill-country line. Mist, estates, and the particular hush of a carriage that is going somewhere beautiful slowly.
05
Bridges and white water
EllaNine Arch, Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Falls. A highland day with time to sit on a verandah and watch the weather change.
06
Descend to the fort
GalleThe south unspools. Walk the ramparts at golden hour; stay inside the walls or a little further along the shore.
07
Salt, then onward
MirissaA last morning by the water — swim, or whales in season — before the road back toward Colombo.
